AFTCO Tapered Fiberglass Gaffs feature special thick-walled, super strong yet lightweight E-glass handle construction custom designed for extreme strength and rigidity. All our fiberglass handles are rolled on proprietary mandrels using specific tapers developed by AFTCO and are fitted in our factory with the same stainless steel hooks used on our aluminum gaffs. This fishing gaff features a black epoxy finish with hand-wrapped metallic gold trim. Fitted with soft, but rugged black grips with non-slip shrink tube between the grips helps prevent slipping. Also, a 10-inch piece of shrink tube placed on the shaft towards the gaff head prevents slipping when you need to reposition your hands to hoist large fish over the rail.
